Saung Angklung Mang Udjo

Saung Angklung Udjo (SAU) is one-stop cultural workshop, consisting of :
performance venue, bamboo handicraft centre and bamboo instrument workshop. Apart from that, SAU has an honourable function as an educational laboratory and training centre to preserve the Sundanese culture - Angklung in particular.

It was established in 1966 by Udjo Ngalagena and his beloved wife Uum Sumiati, with a strong purpose and dedication to conserve and preserve Sundanese traditional art and culture.SAU illustrates nature and culture in harmony, it is no wonder SAU becomes a noticeable destination where people could experience Sundanese culture as a part of world heritage .

SAU is located in the village of Padasuka, around seven kilometers from Bandung.SAU is a perfect tranquility for enjoying fresh - breeze - air and beautiful bamboo domination, form teh bamboo crafts and interiors to the sound of musical instruments.

Bukit Lawang is also a good base for jungle treks into the Gunung Leuser National Park.The parks extensive range of wildlife include Orangutan,gibbons,tapirs,elephants,tigers,and rhinors.And also contain over 380 species of birds,,wooww...it's so amazing if you visit this place.

To reach this place from Bukit Lawang requires 2 km walk along the river followed by a river in a dugout canoe.The location of Bukit Lawang is northern Sumatera,is situated about 80 km to the north-wested of Medan.

i will give you good point from this place,you can get a chance to see Orangutan in the jungle and at the rehabilitation center.And the bad point is the sky often overcast(cloudy) and it can rain a lot,so you must be prepare if you want to visit this place,,okay..
